Jenna Elfman, also known as Jennifer Mary Butala, is an American actress and producer. She was born on September 30, 1971, in Los Angeles, California. She is the youngest of Sue and Richard Butala’s three kids. Her mother took care of the house most of the time, and her father worked at Hughes Aircraft as a manager. The family on the father’s side was Roman Catholic and had roots in Croatia.

Jenna and Bodhi Elfman met in February 1991 when they were both trying out for a Sprite commercial. They were together for four years before they got married in 1995. Her husband was Jewish, but he was a practicing Scientologist when he met Elfman, who was raised Roman Catholic.
He told her about the Church of Scientology after they met, and Elfman decided to join as well. Elfman has worked on a number of church projects since then.
