Trump Media & Technology Group, an American media and technology company started by former U.S. President Donald Trump in October 2021, made Truth Social, a social media platform. Truth Social is sometimes called TRUTH Social. Others say that the platform is in the same alt-tech space as Parler and Gab.
The service started on February 21, 2022. Since it first came out, the Truth Social platform has had a lot of trouble scaling, which has led to fewer users than expected.
Up until May 2022, the service was only available to people in the U.S. and Canada, and it could only be accessed through an iPhone app. Access is still limited by location, but in May 2022, the service made a web app that lets anyone with an internet browser visit the site.

The latest listing in the Apple App Store says that former president Donald Trump‘s new social networking site, Truth Social, will launch on Presidents’ Day, February 21.
Truth Social, which was started by the 45th president in October, is the latest conservative alternative to popular social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, which the 44th president often criticized for censorship.
Trump Media & Technology Group is the place to pre-order the new software before it comes out (TMTG). The app store page for the platform says that users can share their “unique opinion by uploading a TRUTH, Re-TRUTH, photo, news story, or video link to interact with your friends, customers, and the world.”
“Stay on top of breaking news and stay in touch with the people who have the most influence over you. Don’t be surprised if they make your TRUTH go viral! ” It says on the list. People will be able to make profiles with avatars and follow other people.
Like other social media sites, Truth Social will have a “feed” with posts from different people that you can follow. Images posted on the listing show that the app will look a lot like websites like Twitter.
TMTG said at the time of the launch announcement that “invited visitors” would be able to use the beta version of the software in November. At the time, the business advertised the network as “America’s ‘Big Tent’ social media platform that allows an open, free, and honest dialogue around the world without regard to political philosophy.”

In a poll done by Morning Consult and Politico in the fall of last year, more than 60% of Republicans who said they were Republicans said they planned to use the soon-to-be-available social networking platform. Only 20% of those who said they wouldn’t use it were Republicans.

Devin Nunes, a Republican from California, just announced that he is leaving the House early to run a social media business.
Nunes said in December, “The time has come to reopen the Internet and let ideas and speech flow freely without censorship.”

I am both humbled and honored that President Trump has asked me to lead the expedition and the elite team that will carry out this promise. The former president said that Nunes is a “fighter and a leader” who will make a “great CEO of TMTG.”
