Ric Ocasek, Paulina’s husband, passed away three years ago, in case anyone didn’t know. In September 2019, Porizkova was helping Ocasek recover from surgery she didn’t know much about when she found him dead in his house. They were in the process of getting a divorce when he died, but he had already cut her and his two oldest sons out of his new will. He said that she “left” him before his recent surgery, which is an important legal point. In 2021, the problem she was having with Ocasek’s estate was fixed.

Ric Ocasek was an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. His full name was Richard Theodore Ocasek. He was the main lead singer, rhythm guitarist, songwriter, and frontman of the rock band the Cars. Ocasek also worked with the Cars, but he also made seven solo albums. One of his songs, “Emotion in Motion,” was one of the top 20 songs in the US in 1986.

Paulina met Ric Ocasek, the lead singer of the rock band The Cars when they were making a video for their song “Drive” in 1984. On August 23, 1989, they said “I do.” Oliver Ocasek, who was born on November 4, 1993, and Jonathan Raven Ocasek were their sons. In May 2018, Porizkova told everyone that she and Ocasek had broken up the year before.

“People thought my marriage was poison because it ended so badly,” she tells ET. “The last 25 years have been wonderful. Ric gave me the love I so badly needed. All my life, all I wanted was to be loved by one person who would love me the most. I didn’t learn it from my parents or when I was younger. Ric gave it to me because I needed it very much. I was happy to pay whatever price was necessary at the time for him to love me this way.

“I was always around him,” she said. “I’d never do that again. I’m an adult now, but when I was 19 and met a man who loved me and wanted me all to himself, I felt safe for the first time in my life, and I’ll be forever grateful for that.
Porizkova will never forget the day she found him on his bed, dead. When she remembers that day, it makes her sad.
