Action-adventure stealth game A Plague Tale: Innocence was created by Asobo Studio and distributed by Focus Home Interactive. In May 2019, it became available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Along with a cloud-based version for the Nintendo Switch and a release on the Amazon Luna game streaming service, the game was launched in July 2021 for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

The release of A Plague Tale: Requiem has been announced by Focus Entertainment and Asobo Studio for October. The information is presented together with a brand-new, extended gameplay clip that showcases more than 10 minutes from the ambitious follow-up.

The release date of A Plague Tale: Requiem is October 18. Following Amicia and Hugo as they journey south in search of a mystery island that might hold the key to curing Hugo’s illness, the sequel, which takes place six months after the events of the first game, is set in the same world as the first. Requiem is a stealth adventure game with puzzles in a similar vein to A Plague Tale: Innocence, but with a stronger emphasis on combat this time.

With this gameplay, A Plague Tale: Requiem clearly appears larger than its predecessor. The two siblings are unlucky to end up in a quarry where some local troops would want nothing more than to catch them after a sequence of wandering through some gorgeous countryside.

Pre-orders for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions are now open, and a Collector’s Edition is now available. This edition comes with a statue of Hugo and Amecia, the music on vinyl, lithograph images, a feather brooch, and exclusive box art.

A Plague Tale: Requiem currently appears to be on track to surpass all of the accomplishments of its predecessor. While being more expansive and refined, it shares a striking resemblance with the first game. An action-adventure game with stealth components called A Plague Tale: Innocence was released in 2019. Without the fighting, it’s very similar to The Last of Us. The original game, which received an 83 on Metacritic when it was released and was praised for its fascinating tale and characters, complex setting, and great marriage of art direction and graphics quality, now added combat to the mix, or at least more combat than the first game.

A large open region outside the quarry, larger than the great majority of locales in A Plague Tale: Innocence, can be seen in the gameplay demo’s second half. However, this new game appears to be far more brutal and combat-focused than its predecessor, as the sequel’s initial trailer from earlier this month demonstrated.

A Plague Tale: Requiem on PC will finally include Nvidia’s DLSS and RTX technologies, enabling ray tracing and improved frame rates.
