While Selena Gomez was filming a cosmetics lesson for TikTok on Thursday, news of her recent separation and secret relationship broke.
In the video, the founder of Rare Beauty’s grandmother questioned her, “So, how did it end with that guy?” while she applied lip liner.
Gomez, who celebrated her 30th birthday on Friday, hesitated before saying, “Uh… I’ll tell you in a second.”
The singer nervously giggled as she cut the video short, as though she didn’t want the specifics to go online.
In the video, Gomez wrote, “I don’t know what to say.”
The caption on the post had originally been “Thanks, Nana.” But after that, they changed it to “I mean…”
Fans bombarded the comments section with inquiries about the unidentified individual.
We all want to know, as someone on TikTok commented, and I couldn’t agree more.

However, Gomez did not respond to any of her fans’ questions about the identity of the man or the nature of the connection, leaving her followers in the dark.
Her agents did not respond right away to Page Six’s request for comment.
The “Only Murders in the Building” performer has historically taken care to keep her private affairs, especially her love life, a secret. However, she opened up about her love life in May while presenting “Saturday Night Live.”
