The third season of The Mandalorian is on its way, though it will arrive a little later than anticipated. It will premiere on Disney Plus in February 2023. Even while it may seem like a long wait, there is a trailer to sort of hold us over. Although the new footage hasn’t yet been made available to the general public and was shown at Star Wars Celebration, we have a summary of everything you missed right here.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer
At Star Wars Celebration, the third season trailer for The Mandalorian was unveiled behind closed doors. However, we were there and have our own account of the event in a trailer:
In the trailer, The Armorer expresses her displeasure that Mando took off his helmet, and what’s more, he did so voluntarily. Bo-Katan, who is seated on a throne, declares that she is also unimpressed with Mando. Then Din Djarin from Pedro Pascal makes a commitment to go to Mandalore in order to be “forgiven for his misdeeds.” Greef Karga also makes an appearance in a firefight and appears to be the mayor of a town.

Another panel saw the publication of a very brief segment of video. A stunning-looking Star Destroyer, Mandalore in live-action for the first time, and even Din Djarin leading some Mandalorians into combat can all be seen in the new trailer for the next episodes.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Release Date
The release date for The Mandalorian season 3 was announced during Star Wars Celebration to be February 2023. While we are unable to provide any additional information, there is every reason to expect that it will premiere on either a Wednesday (which is most likely given current trends) or a Friday in keeping with Disney Plus tradition. If so, its launch date must be earlier than February 1 and cannot be later than February 24.
The Mandalorian Season 3 Cast
The cast of The Mandalorian season 3 is far from frozen in carbonite at this early stage. Din Djarin and Grogu will be back by Pedro Pascal’s side. There were concerns that The Last of Us TV series production, Pascal’s other new show, would take precedence over The Mandalorian season 3 and cause a delay in filming, but it has since been clear that production is moving forward.
Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, said in an interview with EW(opens in new tab) that Gideon will probably have a bigger role in the third installment: “You’ll probably see more of me in the upcoming season. You’ll most certainly encounter Moff Gideon frequently.” How ominous…
Carl Weathers said at Steel City Con that he will reprise his role as Greef Karga and will also be directing once more. the conclusion of The Mandalorian season 2. Bo-Katan, played once again by Katee Sackhoff, is sure to have the Darksaber in her sights now that Din is holding it. Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka might return, but she also has a spin-off on the way, and her situation is still up in the air following her appearance in The Book of Boba Fett.
Christopher Lloyd from Back to the Future has also joined the cast in an unspecified role.

Gina Carano’s Cara Dune is another character who will unquestionably not be featured in the television show. She was expected to be one of the primary characters in the Rangers of the New Republic spin-off, according to the widespread consensus.
