Brian Hickerson, Hayden Panettiere’s ex-boyfriend, was spotted in Los Angeles on Wednesday after interviews she did in which she discussed their problematic relationship and her history with drug and alcohol abuse.
When asked about his relationship with Panettiere, 32, Hickerson, 33, responded that they are “just friends” and “definitely not” together any longer. Over the previous four years, he had an on-and-off romance with the Palisades, New York, beauty.
Hickerson, who is on probation for domestic violence charges against Panettiere, said there was no chance of them getting back together romantically because he’s “looking forward to new chapters.”
Hickerson stated “, “I thought she did a great job” when asked about her interview on the ABC show.
Hickerson said that he still supports his ex and added, “She’s great. I’m excited to see where she goes next.”
Future projects, according to Hickerson, will help Panettiere’s career flourish. He continued, “I think so, I think everybody would like to see it… she’s out there man, I mean, you know, Scream 6.”

The actress was struggling with a terrible alcohol and narcotic addiction when she and Hickerson, 33, began dating in 2018.

After a fight with Panettiere in May 2019, Hickerson was accused of domestic abuse and handed a protective order, however the accusations were later dropped. A few months later, the pair reunited. Hickerson was imprisoned in July 2020 as a result of eight domestic violence complaints. He was sentenced to 13 days in prison in 2021 after entering a no contest plea to two felony counts of harming a companion; the remaining charges were dropped.
Despite their turbulent past together, she believes that she reconciled with Hickerson as friends. Nothing he did was acceptable, she declares, and she wants everyone to be aware of that. But anyone who wants to ask for help or make a request can do so; I’m open to it.
