At the end of the season, Johnson signed up for his last season of NCAA eligibility at Florida State through the transfer portal. Johnson made seven tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in his first game for the Seminoles, which was a 41-38 overtime loss to Notre Dame. He was named the ACC Defensive Player of the Year and made the first team of All-ACC after finishing the season with 70 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks, which led the ACC.
