Maggie is based on a short film by Tim Curcio, and up until now, it hasn’t gotten much attention or promotion. Chris Elliott is the most well-known name in the cast. Now, don’t get me wrong, he is funny here, but Elliott is not enough to keep the show going. In fact, there is a shockingly small amount of star power. In fact, it faces such tough competition from Stranger Things on Netflix and The Terminal List on Amazon that it may get lost in the holiday streaming crowd.
But since streaming is taking over the big holiday weekend, which used to be when people went to the movies, Maggie could find a niche with counterprogramming for people who want something a little bit lighter. The show is mostly about women, which is something Hulu needs more of. Most of the cast members are women, and it has a premise for a sitcom that is hard to find on streaming services.
As the season finale shows, the fate of the show is a coin flip, just like life. Even though I hope Maggie gets a second season, Hulu originals often need more well-known stars to keep going. But if the streaming giant thinks Rittenhouse could be a big hit and the cost of making the show is low, Hulu might decide that the risk is worth the reward.

The Maggie TV show, which is available to watch on Hulu with a subscription, was made by Maggie Mull and Justin Adler. Angelique Cabral, Ray Ford, Chloe Bridges, Kerri Kenney, Chris Elliott, David Del Rio, Nichole Sakura, Leonardo Nam, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and others are featured in the comedy. The protagonist of the tale is a teenage girl named Maggie (Rittenhouse). Considerably though life might be challenging at times, being a psychic like Maggie makes things even more challenging. She is able to predict the futures of her friends, parents, clients, and even idly passing strangers thanks to her gift. But once she meets an unexpected stranger, her romantic life starts to become much more complicated as she starts to catch glimpses of her own future. Can you allow yourself to fall in love if you already know how it will turn out? In all honesty, she probably should have anticipated this.

Has the Hulu Comedy Series Been Cancelled or Renewed?
It is difficult to anticipate whether Hulu will cancel or renew Maggie for season two unless they choose to make viewing data public. Back in May 2021, ABC gave this program a series order with plans for it to debut on the network in the 2021–22 broadcast season. The comedy has reportedly been relocated to Hulu by January of this year due to scheduling conflicts at ABC. The series was finally released by Hulu 14 months after it was ordered. I believe the cast’s communication options have now been exhausted because it is obvious that the program hasn’t been a priority for either outlet. If this program was renewed, I would be astonished.
