Vinland Saga is almost ready to introduce itself to the public! After a few years of curiosity, the MAPPA team is finally revealing the new season of this series.
The release date for Vinland Saga Season 2 has been set for January 2023. The animation production is handled by MAPPA. In addition, a new teaser trailer and key graphic were revealed. Season 1’s core cast members will reprise their roles in the upcoming second season.
The first complete trailer for Vinland Saga season two is now available, and it is breathtaking. As usual, MAPPA is in charge of the show’s animation, and the studio is producing top-notch work. So, if you had any qualms regarding Season 2’s appearance, you can put them to rest now.
Of course, a poster for the second season of Vinland Saga was also unveiled, featuring our favorite (and not-so-favorite) characters against a sunlit backdrop. The banner also specifies the show’s return date, allowing fans to start binge-watching the series in January 2023. According to sources, Vinland Saga will be available in select territories on Crunchyroll, HIDIVE, and Netflix.

Plot of Vinland Saga Season 2
The Vinland Saga takes place in 11th-century Europe, primarily in England, which is under the rule of Danish Viking invaders.
The plot follows Thorfinn, who initially fights for Askeladd, the man who murdered his father, in the hopes of one day being able to avenge him.
Meanwhile, Askeladd is supporting young Danish Prince Canute in a war for the British crown between the king’s two sons.
Askeladd dies at the end of Season 1 as part of Canute’s ascension to the throne of England. Thorfinn lashes out at the new monarch after being denied his vengeance and is hauled away.
Season 2 should, while not specifically confirmed, follow the manga’s story, beginning with the Slave Arc.
Thorfinn is sold into slavery after the events of Vinland Saga season 1, but finds serenity on a farm distant from the brutal battlefield.

Canute, on the other hand, shatters the serenity. Canute, driven insane by the ghost of his father, goes on a rampage to conquer both England and Denmark.
Vinland Saga won the Anime of the Year Award at the 6th Anime Trending Awards in 2019 for its first season, which aired in 2019. The animation production was handled by WIT Studio.
