Despite the fact that Hulu renewed its LGBTQ+ coming-of-age drama Love, Victor in July, the streaming service announced in February that Season 3 would be the series’ final season. According to Hulu’s synopsis, the final season of Love, Victor finds the eponymous character, portrayed by Michael Cimino, “heading on a voyage of self-discovery — not only determining who he wants to be with, but more generally, who he wants to be.” Victor and his pals, meanwhile, are “fronted with a fresh set of difficulties that they must work through in order to make the greatest decisions for their futures” as their high school years come to a conclusion.

On Wednesday, June 15th, 2022, Season 3 of Love, Victor premiered on Disney+ and Hulu.

Love, Victor – Is There Any Plans For Season 4

Season 3 is the final season of Love, Victor and there are currently no plans for a fourth season.

While Hulu renewed Love, Victor for season 3 in July 2021, the news was quickly followed by the statement that the new season would also be the show’s final installment in February 2022.

This is because the show’s writers have opted to wrap up Love, Victor in season 3.

The show’s makers explained their decision to the RadioTimes, with Aptaker saying, “I think the feeling for everyone was that we had truly delivered the tale we set out to tell.” Victor has been on this adventure in three parts.”

It may be sad for fans, but the decision makes sense because Victor’s time in high school is drawing to a close, and his journey of self-discovery will be mostly complete by the end of season 3.

Isaac Aptaker, on the other hand, gave fans a glimmer of optimism that the ‘Love’ franchise is far from ended, promising that more is “always on the table.”

“High school stories are our favorite,” he continued. “We usually say ‘that’s our last high school thing,’ but we’re about to do another now.” But it’s such an exciting period.”

“There’s a lot to learn, and the stakes are really high.” It’s a great period to write about. So, yeah, it’s been a great honor to tell these stories for three seasons and a film, and I’d never say no to doing it again.”

“This season, Victor is learning to appreciate who he is and apply the things he’s learned throughout the last few seasons,” he continued. “It’s as though Victor has figured out how to embrace himself.” He’s learned to defend himself, and he’s now applying those lessons to his life, not just with his family or in the bubbles that surrounded him previously, but in a variety of settings that he might not have known how to handle before.”

For his part, Sear told the publication that knowing the program was coming to an end influenced how they approached Season 3. “I suppose it all comes full circle,” he added, “and because we knew it was the end, we had time to sort of grieve the whole thing.”
