Fans are reacting to director Hwang Dong- hyuk’s statement that the show’s robotic killer doll has a “boyfriend” who would appear in season two of Squid Game, which has just been announced.

Season two of Netflix’s Squid Game, which became the most-watched show on the streaming service within 12 days of its launch in September 2021, was formally announced on Twitter on Sunday (12 June).
Following the announcement, fans are looking forward to the show’s return. Fans will see Young-boyfriend hee’s Cheol-su this time, who may be the reason why people are going to have difficulties sleeping.
Both Hwang and Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos hinted at a sequel to the Korean dystopian drama, which follows cash-strapped contestants as they compete in popular children’s games with a dangerous twist.
Netflix’s announcement came with a letter from Hwang, who promised that fan favorites including protagonist Gi-hun and masked antagonist The Front Man would return.
“You’ll also see Young-hee’s boyfriend Cheoul-su,” added the 51-year-old, alluding to the terrifying, gigantic doll which massacred game players in a devastating round of Red Light-Green Light in season one.

YOUNG-HEE’S Boyfriend CHEOL-SU To Make His Debut
Young-hee dominated the first season of the show after being introduced at the start of the season. Her song Red Light, Green Light, or Mugunghwa Kkoci Pieot Seumnida, drew everyone’s attention.
Young-Hee’s character was made into a doll that could be purchased once the show’s popularity soared. She was also featured in a number of pop-up ads used to advertise the show.
With the return to normalcy of the show, fans will get to see Young-lover. hee’s Fans believe he, not Young-hee, is featured in the above poster. There is currently no photo of him available.

Fan Reaction To Young Hee’s Boyfriend Cheoul-su’s Introduction
Squid Game enthusiasts are understandably terrified following the announcement about Cheol-su (and perplexed). Isn’t it enough to have just one frightening doll?
“NO, YOUNG-HEE IS THE F DOLL — SHE HAS A BOYFRIEND?” One person tweeted in response to the director’s announcement.
“Even Young-hee has a boyfriend,” someone observed, “but I’m still alone.”
“Young-hee’s boyfriend… oh brother,” one reader remarked in response to the prospect of another homicidal doll on Squid Game.
“I’m screaming,” another fan wrote.
“In the Korean textbooks that inspired Cheol-su and Young-hee, Cheol is her brother,” one Twitter user noted, “but for Squid Game, they made him into her boyfriend.”
How Did The First Season Of The Show End?
The game was won by Gi-hun at the end of Season 1 of the show. Gi-hun is aware that the game is still in progress since he continues to admire Sang-wish woo’s efforts to look after his mother.
Rather than moving on with his life, he searches for a way to return to the game and finally put an end to it.
The release date for Season 2 has yet to be announced.
